Lambeth Teacher with Lambeth NUT

Jubilee was only opened in 2002 on the Brockwell site and is an amalgamation of 3 schools, incorporating a partial hearing school. The NUT membership is sizeable and has a very supportive rep.

At present (February 2008) teachers at Jubilee Prmary school is going through its third restructure in just over 5 years

If you have any intent on applying for a post there, it has to be assumed that you would not object to mail being opened even if it is sent to you by name. We have been told that this is 'generally considered reasonable in the interests of effeciency'

We are sure that the potential situation of mail being opened potentially causing distress will not prevent you from applying for a job at this school.

Do you wish to work somewhere where you can expect to have lesson observations frequently and be subject to Ofsted criteria ( a practice opposed by our union, NASUWT and Ofsted themselves)?

We are happy to say, that following the intervention of the NUT, any sickness absence is now being monitored through the correct Local Authority procedure.
